Hush Terms of Service

1. Introduction

Welcome to Hush.

Hush is a social travel network that allows users to share, discover, and request access to private accommodations ("Pads") and recommended places ("Gems") within a network of trusted contacts.

Hush is operated by Mapplin OÜ ("Mapplin", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Hush mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service") provided by Mapplin OÜ.

By creating an account or using Hush, you enter into a legally binding agreement with Mapplin OÜ.

Operator of the Service

The Hush platform is owned and operated by Mapplin OÜ, a private limited company registered in Estonia under registry code 17256092.

Mapplin OÜ provides the technology platform that enables users to connect and arrange stays. Mapplin OÜ is not a party to agreements made between users.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Hush.

By using the Service you represent that:

  • you are legally capable of entering into a binding contract
  • the information you provide is accurate
  • you will comply with all applicable laws

Hush may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Nature of the Service

Hush is a platform that enables users to connect with people they trust and discover places shared within those networks.

Users may:

  • publish accommodations ("Pads")
  • share recommendations ("Gems")
  • request stays from other users
  • communicate through messaging

Hush does not own, control, or manage any properties listed on the platform.

Hosts are solely responsible for the accommodations they offer.

Guests are solely responsible for their conduct during any stay.

4. Payments Between Users

Hush does not process payments between users.

Any payment related to a stay occurs directly between the host and the guest, using methods chosen by those users.

Hush:

  • does not collect or hold funds
  • does not provide escrow services
  • does not guarantee payment
  • does not manage refunds
  • is not responsible for disputes related to payments

Users are responsible for arranging any financial exchange privately.

5. User Accounts

To use Hush you must create an account.

You agree to:

  • provide accurate information
  • keep your login credentials secure
  • be responsible for activity occurring under your account

You may not:

  • impersonate another person
  • create multiple accounts for abuse
  • access accounts that are not your own

Hush may remove or suspend accounts at its discretion.

6. Hosting Responsibilities

Users who publish Pads ("Hosts") agree that:

  • they have the legal right to share or offer the accommodation
  • the information they provide is accurate
  • the property is safe and lawful for guests
  • they comply with local laws and regulations

Hosts are responsible for:

  • any agreements made with guests
  • setting prices or payment expectations
  • handling cancellations or disputes

Hush does not verify property ownership.

7. Guest Responsibilities

Guests agree to:

  • respect the host's property
  • follow house rules
  • comply with local laws
  • communicate honestly with hosts

Guests are responsible for any damage they cause.

8. User Content

Users may upload content including:

  • photos
  • descriptions
  • recommendations
  • messages
  • profile information

You retain ownership of your content.

By posting content you grant Hush a worldwide, non-exclusive license to display, reproduce, distribute, and promote the content within the Service.

You may not upload content that:

  • is illegal
  • infringes intellectual property rights
  • contains harassment or hate speech
  • is misleading or fraudulent

Hush may remove content at its discretion.

9. Prohibited Activities

You may not use Hush to:

  • commit fraud
  • harass other users
  • publish false listings
  • distribute spam
  • violate laws or regulations
  • attempt to reverse engineer the platform

Violation may result in immediate account termination.

10. Safety and Trust

Hush is built around networks of trust.

However, Hush does not:

  • perform background checks
  • verify identities
  • guarantee the behavior of users

Users interact and arrange stays at their own risk.

11. Disputes Between Users

Disputes may arise between hosts and guests.

Because Hush does not participate in transactions, the platform:

  • does not mediate disputes
  • does not enforce agreements
  • does not guarantee outcomes

Users must resolve disagreements directly.

12. Termination

Hush may suspend or terminate your account if you:

  • violate these Terms
  • abuse the Service
  • engage in illegal activity

Users may also delete their account at any time.

13. Intellectual Property

The Hush platform, including software, design, and branding, is owned by Hush and protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the platform without permission.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hush is not liable for:

  • user conduct
  • property damage
  • personal injury
  • payment disputes
  • losses resulting from user interactions

Use of the platform is at your own risk.

15. Changes to the Service

Hush may modify or discontinue features of the Service at any time.

Hush may also update these Terms periodically.

Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the applicable jurisdiction in which Hush operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
